The following is a sample list of some of the topics included in the three year curriculum for the 3, 4, & 5/6 year old.
Through hands-on presentations and activities, the children learn more about things they see and experience during the Divine Liturgy.
After practicing gestures, prayers, and hymns in the children's room, they feel more at home and more confident in church.

Children can visit the Icon corner to decorate, select icons and other objects, to pray, and practice making the sign of the cross while venerating an icon.

The candle stand is carefully placed while the children learn how to safely light their candles and why we light them.

The children snuff candles safely and sift wax from the sand to maintain a clean, orderly, and beautiful environment.

The children practice approaching the Priest for a blessing.

The children practice venerating icons. They also polish and decorate icons with flowers.

The children practice receiving anditheron into cupped hands.

The children practice making the sign of the cross and saying the Trinitarian Prayers with it.

Children use prayer books with each gesture to practice both the prayer and gesture, one at a time, building the child's confidence about doing and saying these when in the Church.

Where the children select a gesture for individual practice. Each basket has a booklet with pictures and prayers for the gesture.

Children can participate in activities to identify liturgical colors found on the Holy Table, priest’s vestments, and church displays. The children’s room provides hands-on materials for exploring these colors, and elementary students further learn their meanings.

The children engage in exercises to correctly identify and become familiar with the names of the priest's vestments, fostering recognition.
(Elementary students will subsequently receive instruction regarding the significance of these vestments.)

The children discover the names of objects found on the Holy Table by interacting with model items. They recognize that these are replicas intended to help them better understand what happens in the Church.

Holy Table 2 contains the Holy Gospel, Tabernacle, and Blessing Cross. This helps children recognize and name church objects.

Holy Table 3 includes the Prothesis Table showing the "preparation"for The Divine Liturgy by the clergy and the congregation who bring the prosphora and the wine.
